Hi,
Not sure if this does not already exists, but if not, one of my wish list items would be to be able to draw all names in a data file, in particular brothers and sisters. For example, I can draw the connections for my brother, but I am nowhere listed in the drawing.
But anyway, tx very much for providing the software free!

Maybe you can clarify what you mean by "draw all names." I don't really understand what you're trying to do with what. Best, Howard

Maybe this example is better than explaining with words: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_monarchs_family_treeAs you can see, siblings are shown, together with spouses, even if not directly related to the person at the end of the tree. Now, the downside is then to decide where to stop...

Maybe this example is better than explaining with words: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_monarchs_family_treeAs you can see, siblings are shown, together with spouses, even if not directly related to the person at the end of the tree. Now, the downside is then to decide where to stop... The chart shown in your example is not one that PAWriter can produce. Note that the Reference Guide topic Raison d'etre lists: Some things PAWriter is not meant to handle: - Character sets other than the Macintosh (MacRoman) character set — but ANSEL and UTF-8 GEDCOMs are imported and exported and converted to and from MacRoman. The MacRoman character set consists of all the characters that can be typed on the standard U.S. Macintosh keyboard and is defined in this page at Wikipedia. Characters for common Western European languages are included, designed for representation of Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Icelandic and others which use the Latin alphabet.
- Calenders other than the English calendar, but including the transition from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar in 1752
- Version 5.5 GEDCOM events other than birth, baptism, marriage, death, burial and certain LDS ordinances as separate vital events — instead the other events are folded into the person's notes.
- LDS ordinances other than those defined in PAF and the GEDCOM 5.5 standard, i.e., LDS baptisms, endowments, sealings to parents and sealings of spouses, containing only status, date, temple code and place if living.
- Same-sex unions. This limitation was inherited from PAF and the GEDCOM 5.5 standard and is too embedded in PAWriter to change now.
- Elegant charting, inclusion of audio and video files, and other bells and whistles that are included in other genealogical programs (no disrespect intended) such as Reunion — the emphasis here is on secular research (including intercommunication with other researchers) and publishing.
Your request falls into the last category of elegant charting. Sorry. The best I can do is File menu > Write HTML > Descendants of This Person. Best, Howard
