PAW2U is the universal binary version of Personal Ancestry Writer II, aka PAWriter.
The following changes were made in this PAWriter version 98 dated 29 April 2011: When File > Write Text > List of Tagged Places is chosen, the places are now listed in the format State/Country: Town/Township, County/Province • Minor Locality. (This assumes places are entered in the sequence Minor Locality, Town/Township, County/Province, State/Country.) The List of Possible Problems now includes a list of towns/townships which appear in more than one county/province within a state/country. (This assumes places are entered in the sequence Minor Locality, Town/Township, County/Province, State/Country.) The About PAWriter window now lists an Intel or G4 Mac and Mac OS 10.4 as minimum system requirements. When File > Save As is chosen, the suggested file name is now Untitled.paw (i.e., the extension .paw is added to the suggested file name Untitled). Note: For maximum interoperability, all PAWriter data files should end in the extension .paw. Any other extension should be removed and .paw added. N.B. It appears that the upcoming MacOS 10.7 (Lion) will ax Rosetta. It also appears that Lion will require at least a Core 2 Duo Intel Mac. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mac_OS_X_Lion for these and other projected changes in Lion.
