When attempting to open a PAW2 file from a back up CD I get message: "An exception of class IOException was not handled. The application must shut down." Exception Error Number: 30
File opens just fine on my iMac running Mac OS X version 10.6.8.
You should be able to back up your data to a CD!

However, you can't open the data file from the CD since PAWriter requires the ability to write as needed. Just move the data file from the CD to a hard disk or flash drive, etc. Then you can open it.
