Here is the response I received from Apple chat when I asked if 32-bit apps will be supported after macOS High Sierra (i.e., circa 2019):
"The Mac OS itself is not going to support 32 Bit versions of any software and Apps moving forward after High Sierra, so based on the reports that after High Sierra they are moving to complete 64 Bit connectivity and compatibility, I would say that it is most likely [32 Bit Apps are not] going to be support[ed] for whatever the newer version of Mac OS they release after High Sierra."
PAWriter as of now is a 32-bit app. If the creeks don't rise, I hope to make the conversion of PAWriter to a 64-bit app sometime next year (2018).
