Hi
I am adding census information to my notes but not sure what is the best way to do this. I have look at your information on your site do you add the same information to each persons notes. (James first census is 1880-1930 his wife first census is 1880-1910 would I put the some information in her notes stop at 1910).

Cameron Mostly I write Register reports which contain notes for both husband and wife. So I enter abstracts of census records only in the notes of whichever spouse is the descendant of interest, not in both. I think this is reasonable practice for any situation. Keeping duplicate information up to date is too much trouble and doesn't add anything. In the case you cited, I would probably put the census information only under James, for 1880 through 1930.

Hi
would you put the census information in the children's note or only include the census information after they move out or get married.

Hi would you put the census information in the children's note or only include the census information after they move out or get married. cameron I ususally put the census info in the parents' notes, that is, the notes of the husband or wife as appropriate. And yes, I put the census info for the children into the children's notes after they move out or get married.
