I am not sure I have correctly loaded PaWriter. All I get is a green drop down box with the four questions and get thrown into My files. I have just switched to the Mac and am trying to salvage my files from Brothers Keeper.

Henry Cole Hi Henry, You need to export a GEDCOM from Brothers Keeper using the ANSEL character set and then launch PAWriter and choose the import a GEDCOM option. Sorry to be so short in this reply but we have a medical emergency. Best, Howard

Howard, I wasn't able to save a GEDCOM file from Brothers Keeper when I switched to Mac. Before that I did install PAF 5.2 on the PC and get it running with information from BK and I think was able to generate a Cole Family.paf file which has about 1.3 MB. Is the any way to look into this file and use it load into your program?
Thanks,
Henry

Thanks, Henry Hi Henry, You can send me the PAF data file as an attachment to an email and I will convert it to PAWriter and send that back to you. (I have a PC emulator with PAF 5 installed so I can read your .paf file and generate a GEDCOM. Then back in real Mac I can import the GEDCOM into PAWriter.) Best, Howard hmetcalfe@roadrunner.comAddendum: Henry found the related GEDCOM file and imported it into PAWriter successfully.
