Situation: Where adoption is in process for eleven months and the adoption fails because the natural father does not give consent. Do we show the child as deceased or in what status ?

Situation: Where adoption is in process for eleven months and the adoption fails because the natural father does not give consent. Do we show the child as deceased or in what status ? I assume that the child was the child of a mother and the natural father and that the mother then had another partner who wanted to adopt the child but couldn't because the natural father didn't give consent If so, the mother should have two partners, the natural father and the other partner. The child should be entered under the mother and the natural father. You might make a note in the other partner that says he tried to adopt the child but failed. Best, Howard
