I'm new and find I have a few people twice. Tried the "merge" feature, but both still show up. Do I delete one, as Luke was advised to do in his "double people"? Thanks for helping - Marylin

Thanks for helping - Marylin Hi Marylin, Yes, it's best to do the deletions one by one carefully, keeping just the relevant people. The merging feature can be very tricky as in most genealogical programs. A word of advice: you shouldn't just import GEDCOMs into an exiting data file. PAWriter will warn you of this if you attempt it, and you should follow its message in this regard. Then this duplicate person problem will not occur. See the FAQ topic "Importing GEDCOMs into an existing file" for the reasoning behind this. Best, Howard
