I've been working for a few hours on PAWriter for the Mac and am pleased with the ease of learning the application. Many thanks. Can you offer advice as to how to print a detailed chart view of a family tree? I've got a basic one that only shows direct links to the farthest ancestor, but no aunts/uncles/cousins are listed although I have 69 people and 18 families entered. Cheers.

There is no graphic chart in PAWriter that displays aunts, uncles and cousins. You would have to write a register from an early ancestor to show the descendants, or you could write an ahnentafel from yourself to show ancestors and their children and grandchildren. You can also print family group sheets. That's the old-fashioned way of providing clients with the results of paid research: pedigree charts and the related family group sheets. As you will note in the Reference Guide topic Raison d'etre (why PAWriter was developed), one of the things PAWriter is not meant to do is "elegant charting, inclusion of audio and video files, and other bells and whistles that are included in other genealogical programs (no disrespect intended) such as Reunion — the emphasis here is on secular research (including intercommunication with other researchers) and publishing." Best regards, Howard
