What do I do when, trying to save an entry, I get a message saying "File xxx is busy"? This can happen if you have opened the -bkp file, which you should never do unless there is an emergency, as described in the Reference Guide topic File menu > Save. If you weren't using the -bkp file, then I suggest the following: move the -bkp file to the trash but don't empty it. Restart your system. Then empty the trash. Otherwise, I need more information as to what you were doing and where the PAWriter files are in your system, etc. Howard

Thanks, Howard. That's exactly the mistake I made: opening the -bkp file. I escaped by sacrificing the minor change that I had made and closing the -bkp file without saving.
