Hi, If you send me your Mac PAF files as attachments to an email, I will try to read them on my eMac under OS 9 and export GEDCOMs which can be imported into PAWriter, as I have time available. Best regards, Howard hmetcalfe@roadrunner.com

I have a similar problem. I have an old PAF GEDCOM that was cross platform , I can no longer open it because classic is no longer supported. I have OS 10.7 Lion. I sent it to relative to use with LDS PAF program but it will not open for him. I have my entire file running in PAW2. Is there any way I can provide relatives with a GEDCOM ?

It should be OK to import it into PAWwriter. But send the old PAF GEDCOM to me and when I have time I will see what I can do to help. hmetcalfe@roadrunner.com

Regards If the attachment is a file ending with the extension .paf or .ged, then you might forward it to me and I will try to access it with my PC emulator Parallels and if successful, will send you back the results. I will have some time next week to do that. Best, Howard hmetcalfe@roadrunner.com

I am new to this. Helped my mother on PAF 2.1 for Mac in the 90's. Inherited her Mac and used PAF program. Uploaded family info into One World Tree at some point so must have made a GENCOM file. No longer have the Mac (it broke) but saved the hard drive in case. Can't access the records as I no longer have the hard disks of the program. Want to continue the family tree (much work done) but have no idea how to transfer the records onto mini Mac. Running 10.8.5 now. Need to get PAW program. Any ideas how to approach this?

Hi, If you have access to the original PAF 2.1 Family Records files, email them to me as attachments and I will try to convert them to PAWriter data files. hmetcalfe@roadrunner.com. Best, Howard
