I just downloaded PAW2U Verison 96 (5 Nov 2010) onto my Mac Pro (2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon) running Max OS 10.6.8.
I was able to import my old Mac "Personal Ancestral File" GEDCOM and save the file as a new .paw document. But when I click on the newly created file, it starts to load then stops and shows a dialog box that reads: "System Error 07, Duplicate name read file" and forces me to quit the application.
I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed here before. I searched the forum before posting but couldn't find any references.
Any suggestions how this can be fixed?
Thank you, Bob Martin Eagle River, Alaska

Thank you, Bob Martin Eagle River, Alaska Hi Bob, First you should download PAWriter version 100 from my website www.LaNopalera.net. That's the latest Universal version. As to your error code, there is a malformation in your GEDCOM, so PAWriter won't load it. You may send me the GEDCOM and the old Mac PAF file as attachments to an email and I will try to find the problem. Best regards, Howard hmetcalfe@roadrunner.com
