Howard:
I recently discovered, after entering over 8,000 names, that sometimes when identifying burial places, I spelled it "cemetary" when I should have spelled it "cemetery". When I tried to do a "find and replace in all places", it told me that "cemetary" was not in the current file.
Am I doing something wrong, or will the program not do a global search for the word "cemetary" and simply replace it with the correct spelling?
Thanks.
Hope all is well.

So you need to manually find each place containing "Cemetery" and fix them. It might help if you tag all people and then choose File menu > Write Text > List of Tagged Places. Then you can search the generated listing to find the word Cemetary. Then you can use Edit menu > Find & Replace in All Places for each place found that contains Cemetary. The structure of the "name binary tree" in PAWriter doesn't lend itself to simply changing a single word in a "piece" of a place name (such just one word in a multi-word cemetery entry or a multi-word city name or a multi-word county name, etc.). Sorry. Best, Howard

Thanks, Howard. I thought that might be the case. I'll give it a go.
