Howdy! I'm a new user and I'm having a little trouble with the app. Upon startup, I get a message saying that "PAW2.preferences is busy". I get the same message when I try to change something in preferences. Finally, the add person window has a black background. I've tried downloading and installing twice, thinking it might be a corrupt download, but that didn't help. Any thoughts? I have a 15" MacBook Pro with the latest latest OS X version and 2MB RAM. Thanks! Bob Campbell

Thanks! Bob Campbell It sounds as though the PAW2.Preferences file is corrupted. Quit PAWriter and trash the PAW2.Preferences file. When you launch PAWriter again it will create a new default one. (The PAW2.Preferences file is in your username > Library > Preferences folder.) You might then consider changing the background color using the RGB sliders, entering 100, 165 and 255 for red, green and blue. That will look nicer.
