I wish to create gedcom's for import into MacFamilyTree 8 from PAWriter 2 (103). Will personal notes be exported in the gedcom? Which format should be used? Thanks, Leonard

Thanks, Leonard Personal notes will NOT be included. You would have to copy and paste those separately after the export is imported or change those notes to not be private before export. Sorry. Use Export GEDCOM > of Tagged People for Another Program (ANSEL) or (UTF-8). ANSEL is the standard but MacFamilyTree may accept (UTF-8) also. Best, Howard

Howard-- Like another PAW user has noted, I personally enjoy and prefer PAWriter. As a Mac user (High Sierra), I need to prepare for the day when 32-bit will no longer play. Hence the switch (demo only, so far) to another program. I exported my main file in UTF-8 format, and opened it in MacFamilyTree 8.4.3. All personal notes seem to have transferred just fine. I'm not working with any other media, so I can't speak for them. Thank you for creating PAWriter; I'll keep using it as long as I can.
Sincerely, Leonard Williams
