Q: What help is available for PAWriter?
A: There are two kinds of help.
First, to see popup help on most any item (e.g., a button) in a window, hold down the shift key and roll the cursor into that item. A popup window will appear as long as the cursor stays in that item. For some windows, you can get an overview popup by rolling the cursor into the upper left-hand corner of the window. This is called "rollover help."
Second, a Reference Guide is available by choosing PAWriter Reference from the application (PAW2X) menu in OS X, or from the apple menu in OS 9, or by pressing command-apostrophe (single quote mark). The Guide will appear in a new window and you can navigate to any topic from the table of contents.
In order for this to work, you must have placed the folder named Reference in the same directory on disk as contains PAWriter; that is, both the Reference folder and PAW2/PAW2X must be in the same folder, or on the desktop, or in the root directory of the disk.
You can also view the Reference Guide in your browser by clicking on the Reference button in the main window. In this case, referenced images will appear embedded in the text, which is much nicer for printing.
If you forget any of the above, click on the About Help button in the main window, choose About PAWriter Help from the application (PAW2X) menu in OS X or from the apple menu in OS 9, or press the Help key to view a short statement covering this.

Howard were do I find the page to get started on finding my Ancestry I think you should read the topics in the Reference Guide, particularly the ones that relate to Basic Navigation, Basic Data Entry, Basic Reporting and scan the rest. Then just add yourself as the first person.
