I'm new to PAWriter and just downloaded and installed it on my MacBook with OS X. I created a Gedcom file (PedigreeFam.ged) from my PAF 5.2 program which is on my PC running Microsoft XP. When I attempt to import the Gedcom file I receive an error message saying " File PedigreeFam.ged listing is locked" I tried changing the parameters of the gedcom file using 5.5 with various character sets and also tried exporting just the PAF5 none of which will import and open. Keep getting the above mentioned error message. Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong here?? Thanks, Centime

The disk image is locked and can't be written to. Copy PAWriter and the Reference folder to your desktop (or Applications folder), eject the disk image volume and run PAWriter from the new copy.
