I am a brand new user and love the software. I unfortunately made a couple of mistakes when inputting people that I can't seem to fix. I am working on Mac OS X 10.5.8 Two questions: (1) I accidentally duplicated and need to delete a person/family. I followed steps to tag the duplicates then delete and saved, but they have not gone away. I even tried deleting the entire family, but they are still there. I even tried closing file then going back in. Still there. (2) Is there a way to change someone's gender after they have been input? When I go to EDIT a person, that box is not highlighted to be able to change.
Thank you!

Okay, just since I posted, I think I got the extra people removed. It looks like I had to delete the people AND any family ties to make them gone for good. Still wonder about that Gender issue. Thanks:)

Thanks:) Choose Family Menu > Exchange Gender of Partners (command-G) to exchange the gender of the partners in this family. This is available only if both partners are partners in just this family, i.e., neither has other partners. This allows correction of errors in gender without deleting the family and adding it back.

From then on just double click on the saved file to open it and make changes, then save the changed file.
