PAW2U is the universal binary version of Personal Ancestry Writer II, aka PAWriter. The following changes were made in this PAWriter version 93 dated 2 July 2010: - The heading for images in an HTML report has been corrected to use curly quotation marks.
- The menu item Check for Updates has been added to the Help menu.Make sure your internet connection is active when choosing this item.
- A preference item has been added to the Preference window to exclude dates of birth and baptism for living people in HTML, RTF and MML reports. This is an option that may be exercised to protect against identity theft.

I just tried setting the preference setting for excluding birth dates, and then tagged all, and generated the html using "Web site of tagged people"... but it looks like the dates are still there. Is it only for certain reports that this preference affects?

Is it only for certain reports that this preference affects? Hi, Just something I overlooked in version 93. It's been corrected in version 94 where I say "The preference item to exclude dates of birth and baptism for living people in HTML, RTF and MML reports now also includes suppression of birth and baptism dates in generated HTML web sites." Sorry about that. You can download a beta test version 94 from www.lanopalera.net/Genealogy/beta/PAWriterU.dmg and I plan to post the final version 94 (probably with no further changes) on 6 August. N.B. In case anybody missed the label in the Preference window item, those birth and baptism dates are only suppressed for people who have their death popup in the Person window set to living. The label reads "Exclude dates of birth and baptism of living people from reports" and the rollover help for that preference item says "Check this box to exclude dates of birth and baptism of people marked living from HTML, RTF and MML reports. This is an option that may be exercised to protect against identity theft." The same text appears in the Reference Guide topic for that preference item. Best, Howard

Thanks for the response. I am a bit too busy at the moment with work to get the beta (thanks for the link, however... just bad timing for me), so I will likely wait until the Aug. 6 official release date. Look forward to it!
