I have an uncle and and aunt (each entered under different family lineage), that had their respective spouses die. Now, my uncle and aunt chose to marry each other. How do I add the aunt to the uncle as an additional spouse, using her existing RIN, without creating a completely new individual?

How do I add the aunt to the uncle as an additional spouse, using her existing RIN, without creating a completely new individual? Go to the uncle's entry. Click on his Partners button and choose Add Another Partner. Click Yes. In the Family window that appears, click on the Unknown woman. Choose Family menu > Add Partner to This Family by RIN (or press command-R). Enter the aunt's RIN and click OK. Then back in the Family window, click Enter to enter the new marriage. |

On a SIDE NOTE: I've amassed a large database. How can I find an individual by using their birthday?

THAT was quick and easy! Thank you. On a SIDE NOTE: I've amassed a large database. How can I find an individual by using their birthday? Tag menu > Tag People with a Date. Enter the birthday. ClickOK. Then check the Births check box. Click OK. Select Only These People. Click OK. Click on the Find Tagged button in the main window. That will give you a list of people born on the date you entered. |
