Q: What happens to the marked up notes when they are exported to a GEDCOM for another program? Do they still look the same?
A: No. When you choose File menu > Export GEDCOM > of Tagged People for Another Program (either ANSEL or UTF-8), the notes are reformatted much as they are for reports. They appear in plain text. Footnotes are moved to the end of the notes following an underline. Square brackets enclose footnote numbers. Angle brackets enclose italicized and boldfaced text. Indented quote paragraphs are prefixed with
